Although not a new problem, but until now language subject such as Indonesia literature still reputed as a boring subject for the student. Believe or not, there is a language teacher that only give the verbal lesson without give a chance for the student to practice or appreciating a work. Even when language and Indonesia literature subject get a very little portion just than other subject, actually language subject is including to the final exam. When the school teachers make the additional subject, back this subject get the portion 20% only just than English and math.

That’s right, seemapperently language lesson and Indonesia literature subject still reputed as simple lesson, so not surprise if many teacher and student reputed it as easy subject, although there are failed student in final exam because the score is not fulfill the pass condition.

We can see it from a movie dead poet’s society that have a theme about education. The actor is robin wiliams as a new language teacher and English literature in a preparation the best school in America,  welton, tell so simple that language subject and literature in the high school still teoritic so the students feel bored and perforce to join the lesson.

Mr. keating (robin Williams) as a literature exactly value the lesson curriculum of language and literature in that school is not interest the student fight to learn, that problem looks when the first time he came in to the class and learn, the student look so lazy and perforce to join lesson time. But mr. keating as a teacher and can be best friend for his students can change the subject curriculum of language and literature become a fun and entertaining subject.

There are amazing scenes and surprising when he torn an essay that wrote by ph. D. Pritchard . he write about poetry comprehension then mr. keating said “this is poetry, we won’t to install the pipe”. Than every student torn all of wrote that reputed teoritic and bored.

With this movie, we can see the language and literature subject so get less respon from student. So what can we do to confront this problem?

Literature teacher is a mediatore that so influential to student education about literature , side literature books that kick them to like this lesson. Indonesian lesson is important to learning . we can different from other lesson

Teacher can give a time to invite his studens to appretiation a works in out room, like the field or park, invite them to learn to be good declamatory. Then together discuss with many opinions that  come from every students.
